…unbelievably stupid???

Suddenly some cigarette smoke creeping from the unknown place into our floor. Its bad smell at last could shake my friends’ peaceful world. Lol. I mean, it’s always been me who couldn’t stand even the most delicate smell of cigarette smoke when others didn’t even realize it, and then suddenly they could feel how it felt to be me.

I’m thankful that I don’t share a floor with a bunch of employees who smoke on their desk freely all the time in spite of a smoking room provided by the company on each floor. I heard some friends on that floor who couldn’t stand the smoke complained to ‘people on high floor’ but no actions taken so far. I would quit from the job if it happened to me, seriously. Still, some employees on my floor smoke in places other than the smoking room. The stairs on the emergency exit, the pantry, and the toilet sometimes smell of cigarette smoke, especially after 5 pm. Why does this happen when we, workers, are supposed to be educated people, are we not?

Sometimes I think I shouldn’t complain because it’s worse out there when people smoke in public places, too ignorant to the rule. But there’s to be someone who complains, right? And everything starts from the little things.

So, that day, not knowing how to get rid of the misterious smoke, we opened the windows. Not long, someone from Maintenance Unit (or whatever) came with a can of air freshener. HELLO??? Air freshener? Kill poison with another poison?

Is this how Indonesia works?
