"You will have to go through some things… before God can send some things through you."

I was so very sad today and these words just appeared on my email and I felt like crying. I thought I had gone through so many things and thought that I should have deserved more… but now only to find out that I should be stronger each day rather than whining and weeping.

We have a free 24 hour Internet access at work. The office hour is quite flexible. The workload is quite manageable… compared to many others who have to stay late at work to finish their works, or come very early in the morning to finish it, or even have to bring their works home. We can even play games, eat out somewhere for 2-3 hours, watch TV during work, talk about the newest gossip of the day for hours, or just being silly :D  We are allowed to do those things as long as our work is fine. We should have so many things to be thankful for.

But still…

Some wants more and more and more without realizing if… is it proper to ask for more when you don’t give more?

I believe in this saying, if you give more, you’ll get more. I think the ethos of work has been changing….?

I have been wondering… ‘coz me and my friends have been into this recently.

What’s a holiday?

Escaping the world of work and the hurly burly of the city for a few days?

Hiding on a hidden island out of nowhere with a laptop?

Having all-nite-till-morn-parties almost each night?

Camping on a mountain with some beautiful deers peeping shyly?

Drowsing under the tree feeling the wind kissing you while the chirping birds sing you a lullaby?

Having someone massaging your tired body after a busy week in life?

Or….

Just having a good and relaxing time at home, sipping a cup of tea with delicious snacks, laying on a cozy sofa, reading a novel you just can’t stop reading?

In my opinion… as long as what you are doing keeps you refreshed, energized, and relaxed at the same time, that’s a holiday. No matter how short or long it is, as long as it does that to you, that’s a holiday.

Cheers!
