My friend is having trouble crossing the street.

Each morning, she has to cross the busy street to work with a beating heart. It used to be an easy and safe place to cross because there were some traffic lights there and a zebra-crossing and…. hooray, some traffic policemen! But now… well, the zebra-crossing is still there, the policemen are still there, and the traffic lights are still there.

The difference is, the red light is placed with yellow light which keeps on blinking all the time as if signaling the cars, the buses, the trucks, and the speedy motorcycles to keep on moving and going. That way, the zebra-crossing doesn’t spare a space for pedestrians anymore. Then the policemen who are on the other side of the street just keep on waving his hand to all those vehicles to keep on moving as if if they were one minute late, they would all go to hell.

No one notices my trembling friend.

P.S. Hi Mbak Renny, I hope you can always find a kind policeman who helps you cross the street each morning ^_^

Someone I know was hit by her so-called ‘other half’ right in her face. It was so shocking. I know there are many cases of domestic cruelty around the world. I just never thought someone I know could be the one involved. It always makes me wonder about the meaning of love. Really. Love is supposed not to be hurting others because… because it is love! It is not hatred, anger, sadness, and the likes. I guess I am too naive.
